DC’s roving amateur arts festival, Artomatic, is back this year, in a vacant office building in Crystal City. As in years past, the quality is mixed, but it’s fun to ferret out the good stuff. Here, a few pieces that stood out.

The last one, a photo of my best friend’s husband, an avid mountain bike racer, was a surprise. He’s used this as his Facebook photo for many months, so I recognized it from across the room.

The show also hosts musical performances in the evening — an excuse to return before it closes June 23.
